Heparin is a glucose amino glucan consisting of D-glucuronic or L-iduronic and D-glucosamine residues . The polymer is highly sulfated with N- sulfa in C-2 position of the glucosamine unit and sulfuric acid ester of different location. Preparation of Heparin Bestaresin uses agarose as matrix with the heparin coupled to agarose . The media is used to separate and purify coagulation factors, antithrombin III, and other plasma proteins.
